I attended Barnard College for my undergraduate, and I graduated from Columbia University with a Ph.D. in Sociology. I truly love being able to help people advance their learning. I love being able to customize my lessons to the needs of the individual learner. As a teacher, I strive to improve my students, but not perfect them. My philosophy is that mistakes are learning opportunities.I have a wealth of experience in education. I worked at Columbia University as a lecturer in the department of public affairs, in addition to having taught sociology at the City University of New York as an adjunct professor. I am now working as a high school teacher.I teach a range of subjects in the social sciences such as American and European history, anthropology, American government, political science, and sociology. I also help students prepare for the SAT, as well as tutor for the international baccalaureate program.In my free time I like to travel, camp, hike, and ride my bike.
